learn to sup
Beginner group sessions
Stand Up Paddle Boarding is easy, once you know the basics!
Yes, anyone can jump on a board and paddle, but learning the correct technique can make your experience so much more rewarding.
These group SUP lessons are ideal for complete beginners, or for those who have already tried, but it didn’t quite go to plan.
In our Learn to SUP lesson, we cover the basics:
- How to carry your board
- How to adjust your paddle
- Correct paddle angle
- How to transition from knees to feet, and
- How to get back on once you have fallen off
Falling off is essential! Getting wet is half the fun!
After your Learn to SUP session, you will have the necessary skills to manoeuvre your board effectively, paddle with an efficient paddle stroke and have confidence moving your feet.
You’ll be paddling like a pro!

the essentials
Wear something you don’t mind getting wet in.
In colder months, you can wear a wetsuit, but you may get hot, so something underneath is a good idea, in case you need to strip down.
Layers are a good idea.
You can leave all valuables in my van while we are on the water.
Bring a bottle of water and a towel, a smile and a good sense of humour!
